The Grove at Village Park in Sussex is a must-visit playgrounds for Milwaukee area families with young kids.

Located at W244 N6260 Weaver Drive in Sussex, it is about a 35 minute drive from Milwaukee.

You’ll find a well-kept inclusive playground with a zip line, an inclusive and interactive splash pad, sports courts, and a shaded pavilion.

Inclusive Playground

With over 14,000 square feet of fun, this playground has something for kids of all ages and abilities.

From towering play structures and exciting slides to opportunities for communal play, there’s no shortage of entertainment here.

Sussex Village Park Zip Line

The 4-foot grade change creates perfect opportunities for hill slides and hill play, while the two 12-foot towers with climbing features and twisting, tunnel slides make a statement as soon as you enter the park.

And that’s just the beginning!

The inclusive playground also boasts an at-grade spinner, accessible teeter-totter, swing set, and a playhouse designed for 2-5 year olds.

But the crown jewel of the park is the zip line! Your kids will have so much riding it back and forth, swinging through the air.

The only problem is they’ll probably fight about who’s turn it is!

Splash Pad

When summer temperatures get hot, you can cool off in the inclusive splash pad at The Grove.

With over 5,200 square feet of aquatic adventure, this splash pad is a water wonderland for people of all ages and abilities.

Divided into three different areas of play – active, family, and toddler – the splash pad features a range of interactive water features designed to delight and entertain.

In the family area, you’ll find a towering 20-foot dumping feature, water arches, team sprays, and a spiraling water feature that’s sure to make a splash.

The active area boasts water cannons, fountains, additional water arches, and team sprays, while the toddler area is perfect for little ones with water jellies, water journey play, and a rotating spray feature.

Three shade structures are expected to be installed this Spring.

Multi-Sports Courts

The Grove at Village Park is home to four pickleball courts and four half-court basketball courts for your enjoyment.

Each court is equipped with permanent pickleball nets and permanent, fixed basketball hoops, and the surface is made of durable asphalt with a sport coating.

Just keep in mind that all pickleball courts are reserved for Village of Sussex Park and Recreation pickleball programs during specific times throughout the week.

Pavilion

When it’s time for a snack, there’s a spacious 5,000 square foot pavilion complete with two indoor rentable spaces, an outdoor overhang that can seat up to 100 people, a kitchenette, and bathrooms.

Parking

With recent updates to Weaver Drive, there are now 90 additional parking stalls available to service the area, so you can easily find a spot to park and enjoy your day at the park.
