Little Joy is Little Village Play Cafe’s all-summer reading program, and it’s the kind of low-lift, high-reward sign-up Wauwatosa families will actually keep up with.
Kids pick up a Summer Reader Tote stocked with a starter book, reading tracker, and reader card, then log minutes at their own pace from June through August.
As they read, they unlock free books and prizes, plus rewards from local Tosa businesses (like Joy Ice Cream, Little Geese Shop, Wonderkind Pediatric Dentist, Ruckus & Glee, The Milwaukee Brewers & more!), with storytimes, crafts, and pop-up events scattered across the neighborhood all season.
Mark your calendar for the Kick-Off Block Party at Joy Ice Cream on June 7 and the End-of-Summer Celebration at Little Village Play Cafe on August 30.
