5 Fall Festivals Happening in 2021

Fall Festivals are happening! Here are our top picks:


1. Friends of Retzer Nature Center’s Apple Harvest Festival


Retzer Nature Center, S14 W28167 Madison Street, Waukesha
Saturday, September 18, 2021, 9am – 4 pm (Scarecrow Lane & other hikes available throughout the Fall season)
Admission is $10/carload – Cash only at the parking entrance


Come enjoy the Apple Market with sweet treats and cider. Experience the fun activities on the Discovery Trail, take a nature hike, see the scarecrows and watch a planetarium show. Then shop the arts & crafts vendors, bid at the silent auction, relax at the beer garden and listen to live music!

New this year are the 4 Hike options to get into nature!
Passport Expedition on the new, accessible Discovery Trail
Scarecrow Lane with scavenger hunt
Story Hike – read a book while you hike
Outstanding Oaks – learn about oak trees

Masks are not required. Event takes place mostly outdoors. The layout will be expanded to allow for more social distancing, and sanitizing stations will be available

2. Autumn Harvest Fest at Elegant Farmer

This family-fun event features apple picking, corn maze, pumpkin patch, hayrides, the Smilin’ Barn Cafe and more. Open Saturdays and Sundays only September 11 through Oct 24, 10 am-5 pm. Welcomed by the Smilin’ Barn, admission and parking are free! Find out more here.


3. Fall Festival at Drexel Town Square

Fall Festival is our harvest tradition in Drexel Town Square! It’s an outdoor event that’s our way to celebrate everything autumn. This family-friendly event will feature pumpkin decorating, vendor booths, and more!

Activities:

  •  Art vendors
  •  Beer/food vendors
  •  Pumpkin decorating

4. Wine & Harvest Festival in Cedarburg

To kick-off this beautiful season, come and celebrate a sweet and savory weekend at the 49th Annual Wine & Harvest Festival in historic downtown Cedarburg presented by Commerce State Bank! The festival opens Saturday, September 18 from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm (with the Gruber Law Office Main Stage open later that evening until 8:30 pm playing live music) and Sunday, September 19 from 10 am – 5 pm.

There will be live music, grape stomping, pumpkin weigh-ins, giant pumpkin regatta, a classic car show, a Kids Korner with petting zoo, bouncers and barrel train, and more!

5. Fall Fest at Basse’s Taste of Country

Start your family traditions and come explore Happy Jacks Pumpkin Land at Basse’s for our ever improving Pumpkin Festival in Colgate, Wisconsin. Only 25 minutes north west of Milwaukee. Enjoy the pumpkin patch to pick-your-own perfect pumpkin, challenge yourself in the 8 acre corn maze, and enjoy many new and fun filled family activities during the fall. They have 65+ fun fall activities that the entire family can enjoy. They also have corn stalks, straw bales, pumpkins (all sizes, from small to our 100-400lbs gaint pumpkins!), squash, gourds, and more. Find out more here.
