Celebrate Migratory Bird Day with the Urban Ecology Center during this half-day, come-and-go, scientific celebration of birds on the move. Designed for adults, families, and birders of all experience levels, this event offers multiple ways to explore birding, conservation, and outdoor learning at your own pace.

Throughout the morning, enjoy guided bird walks, birding challenges, a live bird experience, a film screening, and hands-on activities.

  • Pine View Wildlife Rehabilitation Center Live Bird Program with Q&A

10 – 11am

  • Bilingual Birding (all ages)

  • Birds & Botany (adults)

11am – 12pm

  • Birding by Ear (adults)

  • Birding Scavenger Hunt (all ages)

Ongoing Activities 9am – Noon

  • Bird-themed crafts

  • Binocular Basics: Learn how to properly use binoculars with a UEC educator

  • Film Screening: Beyond Our Senses – Bank Swallows, a short documentary exploring how birds experience the world in extraordinary ways

Come for a walk, stay for the birds, catch a film, or build something together. However you choose to participate, you’ll be part of a community celebration of migration, science, and the joy of noticing birds…together.
