Sprecher, Milwaukee’s original craft brewery together with GiGi’s Playhouse will be celebrating World Down Syndrome Day on Sunday, March 22 from 3-5 pm with a special party at Sprecher’s Glendale headquarters at 701 W. Glendale Avenue.
Guests are encouraged to wear their boldest, loudest, mismatched socks—or grab a pair at the door—and help spread awareness, acceptance, and joy.
The joy-filled, family-friendly party which will celebrate Down syndrome and the community that believes in them will include: a live DJ and dancing; Cake for all; Sprecher soda, hard soda, & beer tastings and Raffles, swag, and surprises. The cost is free for children under 5; $10 for minors ages 6-20, and includes unlimited soda samples and a plastic tasting cup; and $17 for adults 21 and older, and includes 4 beer or hard soda samples in addition to unlimited soda samples in a Sprecher pint glass.
Gigi’s Playhouse Down Syndrome Achievement Center’s mission is to change the way the world views Down syndrome through national campaigns, educational programs, and by empowering individuals with Down syndrome, their families and the community. They offer free therapeutic and educational programming to individuals with Down syndrome and their families. The Milwaukee Playhouse is currently celebrating their 11th anniversary.
