
What happens when Flamenco meets West African drumming, Mexican folk dance, and Polynesian traditions? One explosive evening of global dance and live music! (W)here in the World takes the stage on March 21st, fusing music and dance traditions from around the world. Unique to Milwaukee, the Midwest, and beyond, this stellar lineup of global dance and musical artists will ignite the stage! One magical night without borders.
This festival- also known as (W)herefest- was created to improve visibility for traditional dance forms and create a unique cultural experience for Milwaukeeans of all ages. This exciting evening of diverse dance styles is conceived by the Milwaukee-based nonprofit Studio K Flamenco. Thanks to the Wisconsin Special Projects Award funded by Ruth Arts, (W)here in the World unites dance artists of different traditions on stage delivering an explosive performance that’s one to remember.
Performances will be held at the South Milwaukee Performing Arts Center- Saturday, March 21st at 6PM. (W)here in the World is a show for all ages and the run time is 1hour 15 minutes. Audience members are invited to meet the artists after the show! Tickets $15-$45, with discounts for youth and seniors.
