A Sensory-Friendly Environment for Families and Individuals to Enjoy Hollywood’s Latest Movies!

Reel Movies for Real Needs, a year-round sensory-friendly moviegoing environment at select Marcus Theatres

At Marcus Theatres, we believe everyone should enjoy the magic of movies on the big screen. According to the National Institute of Health, up to 16.5% of the general population experience symptoms of a sensory processing disorder and individuals with sensory sensitivities can find the traditional movie-going experience difficult or uncomfortable.

On Saturday mornings, select Marcus Theatres host Reel Movies for Real Needs, screenings of first-run hit movies in an auditorium with lower sound and brighter, gentle lighting. Individuals with autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome, or those affected by other sensory issues are provided a safe, relaxing, and inclusive environment to build memories with friends, family, and caretakers while sharing the joy community movie-watching brings.
