MOTH & BAT NIGHT

Stick around after the Friends of Retzer Nature Center Beer Garden for a magical night of moths and bats!

Moth species are more numerous than butterfly species and come in many incredible shapes and colors. We’ll have special illuminated equipment close to the building which will safely bring in winged Lepidoptera (moths and butterflies) and probably some other surprises, and we’ll identify the species!

In addition, you can join Bat Ambassadors on a short hike to detect different bat species flying above with special equipment. This is a great opportunity for adults and families and counts towards education hours for Wisconsin Master Naturalists.
