Event Series: Yerkes Observatory 2025

Beekeeeper Pete (the legend!) from Bee All About It and Brookfield Zoo Chicago makes it super fun to learn about bees and the five hives in the Yerkes apiary. This family-friendly talk and active demo includes romping through our pollinator meadow and visiting the colorful hives in our arboretum.

Pete Soltesz is the official beekeeper for the Brookfield Zoo in Chicagoland as well as the president of the Cook County and DuPage County Beekeeping Association. He manages the bees at Yerkes!
