It’s going to be a spectacular Saturday when the Milwaukee County Zoo opens its doors for Egg Day sponsored by Racine Danish Kringles on April 4. Spring-themed activities will take over the Zoo from 9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m., all included with admission unless otherwise noted. And new for 2026, the Zoo is offering a Brunch Buffet package — reserved in advance — to elevate your Egg Day experience.
Serving from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., each Brunch Buffet ticket includes admission and activities at Egg Day, parking, chef-prepared brunch buffet and drinks, children’s craft, a ride on the North Shore Bank Safari Train, and an exclusive animal encounter. Pre-purchased tickets are required for the Brunch Buffet and available online only; registration closes March 25.
Egg Day’s wild and festive activities include:
- Start your Zoo journey off with your own set of bunny ears, provided at the main entrance.
- Play along with Egg Day Spring Bingo. Stop at the Penguins of the Pacific habitat to pick up a bingo card and mark spaces as you see items around the Zoo. Once you have a bingo, return your card for a prize!
- Catch the Bunny Parade at one of its three expeditions: 10:30 a.m., Noon and 1:30 p.m., beginning and ending at Macaque Island.
- Participate in a special Egg Hunt. Count the animal print eggs hidden along the trail and receive a special treat.
- Multiple animal enrichment demonstrations are scheduled throughout the Zoo, specially themed for this fun-filled day.
- 10 a.m. – Pigs (Northwestern Mutual Family Farm)
- 11 a.m. – Big Cats
- 11:30 a.m. – Harbor Seals
- Noon – Otters
- 1 p.m. – Elephants
Other activities include complimentary face painting; three special festive photo opportunities; Chalk the Zoo by adding flower designs on the garden path at the Elephant Care Center; and Dixie-land jazz from the popular group, Razzmatazz, in the U.S. Bank Gathering Place.
And don’t forget to ride the Bunny Eggxpress (also known as the North Shore Bank Safari Train), weather permitting! (Fee: $5/per person, plus tax)
Zoological Society membership is valid for Egg Day. Registration is not required.
