This guided bird walk introduces participants to local bird species through observation and identification in a natural setting. Experienced birders lead the walk and explain how sightings are logged using the eBird app.
The activity is suitable for adults, families, and older children with an interest in nature, including beginners. The format is a structured group walk, with time for questions and discussion as birds are observed along the route.
All events start at the south entrance of Lakeshore State Park, unless otherwise indicated. Public parking on the south side of the park can be found by entering “Milwaukee Pierhead Lighthouse” into a GPS map program. Approximate coordinates to the starting location are 43.029163, -87.895880
