Event Series: Riveredge Nature Center 2026

Why should the conservation team have all the fun?! After watching the bird banding demo, come join the education department and hang out at the Visitor Center to dive even deeper into the world of birds. Get hands-on as you explore amazing bird adaptations—from feeling just how sharp an owl’s talons are to discovering what makes different beaks perfect for different jobs.

– Bird Banding Demonstration 10-11am (On view at Connie’s Classroom – park at West Entrance, River Outpost lot)
– Drop-in Activities 10am-2pm (At main Visitor Center)

For kids ages 0-12 accompanied by an adult
This program is free for everyone!
Pre-registration is not required, but highly recommended.
