Milwaukee County supervisors approved a plan to invest $175,000 into a pilot program that would convert the ice rink into a roller skating rink in warmer months. Despite some budgetary concerns, advocates of the project say the rink is perfectly suited for roller skating without major modifications.
If successful, this program could make Red Arrow Park a central spot for outdoor roller skating in the heart of downtown Milwaukee. Keep an eye out for future skating events, as the roller skating community is rallying to keep the rink active year-round!
