🍎A celebration of fall & apple fun for all!
Cider Sunday is the Friends of Wehr Nature Center’s largest fundraiser and supports the center’s vision to be a regional leader in providing access to nature for all. Proceeds benefit the educational programming and land management that help make Wehr Nature Center a natural gem in southeastern Wisconsin. Celebrate fall during this family-friendly event for all ages.
What to expect:
- Listen to the sounds of live music from The Sweet Sheiks (11:30am-2:15pm) and The Bluegrass Allstars (2:30pm-4:30pm).
- Amble the trails among the autumn colors, enjoy a new apple-themed Story Stroll and sensory scavenger hunt.
- Participate in an interactive presentation with live animals by David Stokes (12:30pm & 2:30pm, each 30 minutes).
- Enjoy tasty apple treats/desserts, apple cider and bags of apples available for purchase.
- Delicious food from various food vendors: Cedar Teeth, Twisted Plants, Caravan 1&1 and Corn Man.
- Homemade cider beer provided by the Milwaukee Beer Barons.
- Meet and take photos with our roaming apple character.
- Participate in our amazing raffle baskets. Try your chance at winning awesome prizes!
- Enjoy face painting, children’s crafts, activities, and more!
Proceeds raised support Friends of Wehr Nature Center.
