Description
The Tosa Farmers Market is a vibrant, community-centered open-air market held each Saturday from early June through mid-October in the heart of the Village of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. As a not-for-profit organization, the market supports local agriculture, food producers, and artisans while fostering community connection and sustainability.
Each week, more than 50 local farmers and food producers gather to offer fresh seasonal produce, plants, flowers, baked goods, award-winning cheeses, coffee, prepared breakfast and lunch items, meats, and more.
Beyond shopping, the Tosa Farmers Market offers a range of engaging activities and programs for all ages. These include:
Live music from local musicians, adding to the lively Saturday atmosphere.
Yoga at the Market, providing a relaxing outdoor class each week.
Power of Produce (POP) Club, an educational program where children receive tokens to spend on fresh fruit, vegetables, and plants, encouraging healthy eating and learning about food origins.
Support for federal nutrition programs like SNAP/EBT, Milwaukee Market Match, and FMNP vouchers, helping make fresh food more accessible.
A community booth featuring local nonprofits and community groups.
The market also contributes to local charitable efforts: vendors generously donate unsold food items each week to benefit families at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern Wisconsin.
Funded primarily through local business sponsorships, the Tosa Farmers Market brings in tens of thousands of visitors each season, serving as both a destination for quality local goods and a community gathering place that celebrates local culture, food, and sustainability.
