The story of Stanley Yelnats, who is wrongly convicted of theft and sent to the juvenile detention camp, Camp Green Lake, where boys
are forced to dig holes in the desert, supposedly to build character. The story intertwines Stanley’s present-day experiences
with his family’s past, revealing a century-old curse and a hidden treasure. Through friendship, courage, and perseverance, Stanley and his friend Zero uncover the truth behind
the camp’s true purpose and the secrets buried beneath the surface.
