Did you know that the Wisconsin Humane Society offers Youth Programs for kids of all ages, all year round?Here are some programs your little animal-lovers will delight in:
Kids Night Out (ages 6-12):
Drop off your child on select Friday evenings so they can enjoy pizza,
puppies, and animal-themed fun! Kids can get a private shelter tour, make an animal-themed craft, and meet some of the shelter guests. Find out more.
The next Kids’ Night Out will take place at the Milwaukee Campus on Friday, October 19th and at the Ozaukee Campus on Friday, October 26th.
Community Storytime (ages 2-4)
Bring your little ones to hear an animal-related story, followed by fun activities and an opportunity to meet an animal guest. There is no fee for the program, but they do request you bring an item from their wish list to help the animals.
Milwaukee Campus Story Time is every 3rd Thursday of the month (between September and May) from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Find out more or Register.
Winter Camp (Grades 2-6)
The upcoming Bow Wow Blizzard Camp is on Thursday, December 27th at the Milwaukee and Ozaukee Campuses for kids in grades 2-6. This one-day camp breaks up the long winter break and gives kids a chance to warm up with some furry friends.
Activities include animal-themed crafts, games, a private shelter tour, and lots of chances to meet furry and four-legged friends. Learn about animal care, safety, dog training, cat socializing, wildlife rehabilitation and much more! Find out more.
Birthday Parties (Ages 6-12)
If you child loves animals, a birthday party at the Wisconsin Humane Society is the perfect venue for your party. Birthday parties include a personalized cake, juice, exclusive invitations, a party host, tour, and animal meet-and-greets! WHS does all the work so families can simply show up and enjoy the celebration. Pizza parties and t-shirts are also available to purchase. Find out more.
Other Camps (Grades 1-8)
Camps are held year round during Winter Break, Spring Break, and summer. The camps provide animal lovers with an opportunity to interact with animals, discover topics like training, animal care, and more. Create animal related crafts, and make new friends. Find out more.
Service Saturdays (ages 12-18)
Older kids can join in for a morning of hands-on activities that make a direct impact for the animals in our care. Find out more.
