Perfect for ages 2 – 6 years old! Starting in June, we’ve condensed our classes into mini sessions for your family to enjoy all summer long. The best part… they work around your schedule. At Riveredge Nature Journeys summer camps, we’re not afraid to let kids get a little dirty. In fact, we encourage it! Our week-long environmental summer day camps are for kids as young as 3 to high school seniors. At summer camp, Riveredge Kids experience the best of life outside: river walking, fort building, and bug finding, not to mention swimming, tubing, and tree climbing (with harnesses!).This is hands-on environmental exploration: campers ask questions about the natural world, uncover evidence at their fingertips, and draw conclusions based on personal experience. And we have a blast doing it!

Schlitz Audubon Nature Center’s leading experiential, environmental education connects children with the natural world. We provide memorable nature experiences for children of all ages, from preschool summer camps to camps for high schoolers. Conveniently located just north of the city on Lake Michigan, we offer the complete Wisconsin nature experience.

At our summer camps, your child will play, explore, and make discoveries on 185 acres of forests, prairies, ponds, wetlands, and beautiful Lake Michigan shoreline. We also feature camps that invite campers to interact with the live amphibians, reptiles, and raptors that are in our care. Registration for Summer 2018 has begun!

Lynden Sculpture Garden

Lynden’s day camps integrate our collection of monumental sculpture with the natural ecology of hidden landscapes and unique habitats. Led by artists, naturalists, and educators, the camps explore the intersection of art and nature through collaborative inquiry and hands-on artmaking, using Lynden’s 40 acres to create an all-senses-engaged outdoor experience.

Apprentice Camp at Old World Wisconsin (8th-12th grade)

June 25-28, July 9-12, July 23-26, Aug. 6-9 from 9am – 3pm

Be more than a guest. Be an Apprentice! Campers will spend four full days as part of our Old World Wisconsin Guest Experience Team. Dressed in historic clothes they will learn techniques and facilitation skills while being responsible for helping our guests get hands-on with history. From school teacher, to blacksmith, to baker, our Campers learn side by side with staff to see what it takes to bring history to life.

Milwaukee Irish Fest Summer School

The Milwaukee Irish Fest Summer School, held annually the week of Irish Fest, features week long classes that showcase the rich culture, history and traditions of Ireland and Irish America, past and present. Come learn to play the Irish fiddle, flute, tin whistle, guitar, Celtic music styles and more from master musicians. Or, register for the Celtic Kids Camp [ages 7-12], which offers a full day of Irish infused activities and sing-alongs!

Drew Diener Basketball Camps

Coach Drew Diener is holding two camps in Wisconsin this summer. Day camp in Whitefish Bay is open to boys and girls going into 3rd-6th grade and boys going into 7th-9th grade. The camp will be held in Whitefish Bay June 11-14th for $125 per child (Automatic Sibling Discount upon registration). Coach Diener is also hosting an overnight camp on the campus of Saint John’s Northwestern Military Academy in Delafield, WI July 29th-August 1st for boys going into 4th-9th grade. Camp costs $415 and includes all meals, water balloon games, as well as nightly swimming. Registration and further details are on our website.

Ebenezer Child Care Centers’ 2018 Summer Blast Program will highlight all the great things about Wisconsin! There will be an engaging, age-appropriate curriculum and fun field trips that teach children about Wisconsin’s food, recreation and community. It’s a perfect way for children through age 12 to spend their summer and is available at our downtown, southside, Oak Creek and West Allis/Wauwatosa locations.

At each of our locations, kids ages 5 to 12 enjoy a summer day camp that keeps them in learning mode and broadens their horizons with awesome activities: swimming in our completely accessible warm-water pool, outdoor play and nature projects, games from word searches to kickball, and two fantastic field trip every week. Best of all, our nurturing environment and unique intergenerational approach has kids interacting regularly with our seniors and other adult day services clients, engaging through karaoke, arts and crafts, storytelling and more to make friends with people of all ages and abilities.

We will be offering soccer, art, science, and animal courses this summer. Our special summer course offerings are not available during the school year and range from 45 minutes to 2 hour courses with the option to stay and play for the day after the class.​
