Now in its 91st year, the parade features approximately 100 units including 15 award-winning bands, huge floats, 40 foot helium balloons, live animal entourages including camels, local TV and radio personalities, costumed characters, racing sausages, specialty vehicles, Santa Claus, and more!
Parade begins at the corner of Kilbourn Ave. and Astor St. and continues on Kilbourn west to Old World 3 rd Street where it turns south on Wisconsin Avenue. The parade officially ends in front of The Shops of Grand Avenue on the corner of Old World 3rd St. and Wisconsin Ave.

Don’t miss this beloved annual tradition! Following downtown Milwaukee’s annual Christmas parade on Saturday, November 18, the Hilton Milwaukee’s Christmas tree lights will be turned on to kick off the holiday season. Enjoy hot chocolate and cookies, caroling with Winter Wonderland featuring Olivia Gonzales, family-friendly activities, holiday movies around the fireplace and pictures with Santa. The hotel will also offer a build-your-own Bloody Mary bar for $8 per drink. Complimentary parking with purchase. Official tree lighting takes place at 12:30 p.m.
#3. Naughty or Nice Floral Show – Opening Weekend!
November 18th, 2017 – January 7th, 2018
Come see who is Naughty or Nice! Visitors to the show will get a behind-the-scenes view of the elves at the North Pole. Some elves will be making toys in the workshop or creating havoc in the wrapping department, while others will be hiding in the flower-filled displays, keeping an eye on the girls and boys who visit. Young guests will have the opportunity to write letters to Santa and mail them at the special holiday mailbox. The focal point of the show will be the 25-foot holiday tree, encircled by a paper garland. On closer look, visitors will see that the garland is actually Santa’s list of who’s naughty or nice. The tree will be decked in red, green, blue, and white ornaments and lights.

Holiday Folk Fair International celebrates the cultural heritage of the people living in southeastern Wisconsin. This year’s theme, “Celebrate the Culture of Welcome,” will allow Fair-goers the opportunity to learn the traditions and symbolism of cultures as it relates to welcoming individuals and how it is incorporated into music, food, dance, arts, and crafts. Advance tickets will be sold for $10 each, with family four-packs for $36, and available for purchase on-line at www.folkfair.org. Admission at the gate will be $12 for adults; $8 for children ages 6 to 12; children under the age of five will be admitted at no charge. Those 62 and over will be admitted for $10, and all military personnel with a military ID card will be admitted free.
