Join Mayor Tom Barrett, festive entertainers, and Santa Claus for downtown Milwaukee’s Holiday Lights Kickoff Extravaganza on Thursday, November 16th.
Head to City Hall at the corner of Water & Wells at 5:00 p.m. for the 104th Annual City Christmas Tree Lighting.
Hear music from local choirs, ensembles and theater groups, and then partake in the countdown. The tree will be officially lit at 5:29 p.m. After the lighting, walk over the Kilbourn Avenue bridge to Pere Marquette Park for the 19th Annual Milwaukee Holiday Lights Festival Kick-Off Extravaganza in Pere Marquette Park.
More than 500,000 lights will be turned on throughout downtown, and the stage will be filled with spirited live music, dancers, stunts, Bango, and Santa Claus himself. There will even be fireworks! After the show, free Jingle Bus rides will take you past downtown’s newly lit up displays.
If you can’t make the party, tune into “WISN 12 Live: Holiday Lights Kick-Off presented by Educators Credit Union”.
