Am I the biggest dork for thinking this is cool? Cause I definitely do. Historic Milwaukee Incorporated has just created a brand new Family Fun Walk set to happen Sunday, January 17th @ 1 p.m.
Geared towards ages 6-12, this special winter tour winds through the skywalk system overlooking downtown, so you'll stay warm while the early history of Milwaukee is brought to life.
Tour participants will learn about what the land used to look like, Native Americans and their habitats, fur traders, explorers, early villages, the bridge wars, Milwaukee’s waterways as well as Milwaukee’s three founders, Byron Kilbourn, Solomon Juneau and George Walker.
Participants will also visit the interiors of several buildings along the way.
The tour meets at 1 pm in the main atrium of the Milwaukee Center, at 111 E. Kilbourn Ave. and concludes at the Plankinton Building at 161 W. Wisconsin Avenue
For Historic Milwaukee Members, the tour is free. For non-Members, the cost is $10, ages 7-17 are $2, and ages 6 & under are free.
RSVP required. Find out more here.
