It’s that time of year again, when the Urban Ecology Center leads a special program to build a colorful igloo for their annual Winterfest.
This Saturday, January 16th at 10:00 a.m., learn about the history of igloos and techniques to build a simple snow shelter in the park or at home. Afterwards, you’ll get to help construct a snow shelter.
This year’s event will take place at the Urban Ecology Center’s Washington Park location and costs $6 for adults (Nonmembers: $9) and $4 for children (Nonmembers: $7).
Find out more about the event here.
Also happening this weekend at the Urban Ecology Center is Snowshoeing for Beginners at the Menomonee Valley location and Firetime in the Rooftop Tipi at the Riverside Park location.
