Free days around Milwaukee 2016

Reason #4901 that I love Milwaukee: Area attractions offer free days year round! Here are the details for 2016.

(All dates are included on our Event Calendar.)

Milwaukee County Zoo:

Free admission for all on January 9, February 6, March 5, October 8,November 5 and December 3, 2016

(Parking, rental and concession rates still apply.)

Milwaukee Art Museum:

-Always free for Kids 12 & under

-Free the first Friday of every month, sponsored by Meijer

-Free to Wisconsin K–12 teachers with valid school ID or pay stub

​-Free to Members

-Bring a Sendik’s “Red Bag” to the Museum the weekend of January 30-31 to get one free adult admission, or half off a new Family/Dual membership. One bag per person.

Milwaukee Public Museum:

-Free general admission to MPM on the first Thursday of every month during Kohl’s Thank You Thursday. Extended hours until 8:00 every Thursday. (2016 dates are January 7, February 4, March 3 , April 7, May 5, June 2, July 7, August 4, September 1, October 6, November 3 & December 1)

-Residents of Milwaukee County also receive a $2.00 discount on general admission every day. Adult residents must present valid photo identification showing Milwaukee County residency.

Mitchell Park Domes

-Free on Mondays from 9 a.m.-noon for all Milwaukee County Residents with proof of residency. Excludes major holidays and celebrations of major holidays. NOTE: Five major holidays are celebrated on Mondays in 2016. Jan, 18, May 30, July 4, Sept. 5, and Dec. 26, 2016 therefore, regular admission rates apply on these dates.

-Children 5 and under always free.

Betty Brinn Children’s Museum

Free admission on the third Thursday of every month from 5:00-8:00 for Neighborhoon Night.

Member Swap Days 2016

Members at any participating museum can enjoy free admission at any of the seven great Milwaukee museums on Member Swap Day. Enjoy reciprocal free admission to:
