Cleaning with essential oils, the easy way (sponsored)

If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably considered how to clean your house in a “greener” kind of way. That is, without all the harsh chemicals and toxic ingredients.

Maybe you’ve even suspected, like me, that these products could be contributing to your allergies, headaches or other common family ailments.

But maybe (like me), you just don’t have the time or energy to mix and create your own cleaning products.

That’s why I was honestly thrilled when a local Wisconsin company, Capri Essentials, contacted me about their essential oils-based household cleaners.

Based out of Manitowoc in northern Wisconsin, Capri Essentials uses natural formulations in all their cleaning products, and include essential oil blends to freshen and balance your home.

But seriously, the products smell so extraordinarily good and calming.

So much so, that I’m not exaggerating when I say that I actually look forward to cleaning the kitchen table after dinner each night. You heard me right! 🙂

I was able to sample their white lavender all-purpose cleaner (my favorite), the lemon verbena hand soap (so refreshing), and the sweet basil dish soap (looks gorgeous on the counter!).

The white lavender all-purpose cleaner is my favorite of all of the products because, well, I use it for everything. I use it on the counters, the kitchen table, the living room tables, and even the floor sometimes.

The other reason it’s my favorite is that it’s so far superior to other products like it. It’s not easy to find an all-purpose cleaner that doesn’t smell like it will kill both the germs and you!

The white lavender scent helps me to actually enjoy the process of cleaning, which I know sounds crazy. But it really does.

Maybe it’s the blend of lavender, juniper, thyme and chamomile essential oils that are known to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and calm the nerves. (Lord knows I need that by the time dinner is over!)

Second, the lemon verbena hand soap is lovely and refreshing. Again, it feels like you’re pampering yourself each time you use it. The blend of lemon verbena, tea tree, rosemary, and cedarwood essential oils are supposed to heighten awareness, invigorate the senses and improve focus.

Lastly, the invigorating sweet basil dish soap. It features a blend of basil, almond oil, eucalyptus and peppermint essential oils that claim to relieve fatigue, control stress and promote feelings of well-being and balance.

That’s a tall order! But at the very least, this dish soap smells amazing and makes cleaning your dishes a more pleasant experience.

Not to get all spiritual or anything, but I really found that the scents in these products helped bring me back to the present moment. That alone helped to reduce the natural stress that comes with daily cleaning and chores.

These locally-produced cleansers make daily chores just a little more enjoyable for you, the hard-working and very deserving mom.

And who doesn’t want that?
