Family Sundays at the Art Museum only happen five times a year, and one of these kid-friendly events is happening this Sunday, March 13th.
These events are free with Museum admission and for children twelve and under. It’s also free for Boys and Girls Club of Greater Milwaukee with their membership card or invite sheet.
From 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., families are invited to exploret he beauty of the American landscape through the paintings featured in Nature and the American Vision: The Hudson River School.
Hands-on projects include painting a landscape from the windows of the museum and making a nature study with live plants.
You can also take a tour or a “hike” through the exhibition with Angie Tornes from the National Park Service, and sing around a “campfire”.
There will even be live performances, including the very kid-friendly Fox & Branch folk duo at 11:00 a.m. in Windhover Hall.
