“Inside Out” Family Event

The South Milwaukee Leo Club, sponsored by the South Milwaukee Lions Club, is hosting a free community family event featuring the animated film “Inside Out” rated PG. The public can enter through Door 9 beginning at 6pm at South Milwaukee High School. There is ample free parking. Prior to the movie, there will be an Emotion Face photo contest and bake sale fundraiser. Proceeds at this event will benefit South Milwaukee Human Concerns and the South Milwaukee Leo Club. Refreshments will also be available for purchase. However, food and beverages will not be allowed inside the PAC. Come by the South Milwaukee Performing Arts Center on Friday, February 12th with your family and friends to enjoy a free movie and help a great cause!

Ice Fishing Clinics for Children

9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Take your children, age 15 and under, to a freeice-fishing clinic in your Milwaukee County Parks. Members of local fishing clubs will teach ice-fishing basics to ensure safe and fun winter fishing.

The indoor instructional component of the program will go on no matter what the weather; the ice-fishing component is dependent upon the weather and ice conditions.

Clinics will begin on the hour from 9 a.m.–2 p.m. All fishing equipment will be furnished. Children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult. No pre-registration is required for individuals–if you have a group of 20 or more, please call in advance.

InBounds Training Center is hosting the 1st Annual North Shore Kids Expo to connect families with opportunities to enrich the growth and experience of their children. Geared toward parents of youth, aged birth to ten. Snowtopia at Riverside Park

Urban Ecology Center (Riverside Park)

Join the fun for a second season of snow-scaping and help build a city of snow structures. All ages are invited to spend the afternoon building our Snow City, replete with sky scraping snow castles and a kingdom of snow folk. We’ll need all hands on deck to prepare for Snowtopia – so bring yourself, your friends and your family to see what this epic and magical event is all about! We’ll even have hot chocolate and a fire going in the rooftop tipi. This event is dependent on snow conditions.
