If you’ve been meaning to check out the $1.00 Jingle Bus downtown, this weekend is definitely the time to do it. The Meijer “Sweet Ride” food truck will be parked in front of Grand Theater, 214 W. Wisconsin Ave., offering free hot chocolate between 5:30-9 p.m., Dec. 17-20.
“Meijer is excited to sponsor this popular holiday activity to allow local families to enjoy the downtown light displays for an affordable price,” Meijer Milwaukee Market Director Chris Hoffmann said.
The tour is just $1 per person and each ride includes a Santa hat and other giveaways courtesy of Meijer. Tickets can be purchased at the Warming House location inside The Shops of Grand Avenue at the mall’s Center Court.
Tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis each night beginning at 5:30 p.m. Passengers will board buses just outside the mall’s main entrance, 275 W. Wisconsin Avenue.
Narrated by Milwaukee Downtown’s Public Service Ambassadors, the Jingle Bus is a 40-minute tour that acquaints riders with downtown landmarks and the city’s most decorated scenes. Tours operate Thursdays through Sundays, through Dec. 27 with the first bus departing at 6 p.m. and the last bus departing at 8:20 p.m. For more information, visit www.milwaukeedowntown.com.
