Your family's guide to the Wisconsin State Fair


We all love the State Fair for different reasons. My reason is that I get to wear my cowgirl hat and not look ridiculous. On second thought, I probably do look ridiculous, but I blend in better.

Whatever your reason, here are some tidbits to improve your State Fair experience this year:

Best admission deal: Monday, August 4th is Kohl's Family Value Day. From 8 am – 6 pm sdults receive $5 admission and youth 11 and under receive FREE admission.

Best new addition for families: Kohl's Activity Zone, new this year, is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and will feature Kohl’s Color Wheels, Kohl’s Design It! Mobile Lab with unique, hands-on projects, Kohl’s Wild Theater performances. and more.

Best time to go on rides: From 10:00-3:00, Monday through Friday, all rides, games and attractions are only three tickets.

Best day to eat: Crazy Grazin Day is Tuesday, August 5th. Sample a variety of Fair foods available at more than 50 food vendors who offer a variety of items at reduced prices! Find out more here.
