It only happens a couple of times per year, and this Sunday is Milwaukee Museum Member Swap Day. If you’re a member at any of the participating museums, you can enjoy free admission to the others. Participating museums are:
- Betty Brinn Children’s Museum
- Charles Allis Art Museum
- Discovery World
- Grohmann Museum
- Harley-Davidson Museum
- Milwaukee Art Museum
- Pabst Mansion
- Villa Terrace Art Museum
We are members at the Betty Brinn Children’s Museum, so we love to choose a different museum to explore on this special day. Last Spring, we visited the Harley Davidson Museum with the kids. We were pleasantly suprised at how family-friendly it was, and we had a blast. Find out more about our visit here.
This year, we will head to Discovery World to check out the Kooky Cooky exhibit. The exhibit revives the legendary Kooky Cooky House from Capitol Court Mall in the 1960’s through the 1980’s. It is an electronic cookie factory that features dozens of moving parts as gingerbread cookies are created by Santa’s helpers. Cookies are given away on weekends so we’re hoping to partake in the sweetness.
