The STEM Expo is a science fair-style event with “STEM” (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) booths set up throughout the gym at the MSOE Kern Center. At each booth is a STEM-based activity or demonstration that is  designed to interactively engage kids of all ages and inspire their interests for all things STEM. This event is hosted by the ASCE SE Branch YMG.

Milwaukee County Zoo: November 2nd from 9:30a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Milwaukee Public Museum: November 7th from 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Milwaukee Art Museum:November 7th from 10:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Mitchell Park Domes: November 7th from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. for Milwaukee County Residents (ID required).

Betty Brinn Children's Museum: November 21st  from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Complete this project using everything in the American Eagle kit. Learn to use a hammer, fine sandpaper, wood glue and a Phillips screwdriver. Assemble the bird’s basic shape and its wings, then add fun stickers. Paint the piece to bring it to life, and then build the base to help your bird stand tall. All Kids Workshop attendees must be accompanied by a parent or adult at all times. All kids get to keep their craft, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron and a commemorative pin while supplies last.

Enjoy the Annual Tinkergarten Lantern Walk! This FREE event is a magical way to help little ones see the beauty in the darkness that comes with the end of Daylight Saving Time.

Come sing-along to some of the most well-known movie musicals. Snacks and beverages will be provided. This program is for all ages. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all library programs. *Movies are subject to change based on availability without prior notice.*

Imagine the fun of going on a Bear hunt-through tall, wavy grass (swishy, swishy!); swampy mud (squish, squish!); and a swirling whirling snowstorm (hoooo, woooo!)-only to find a real bear waiting at the end of the trail! Children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult. Free for all- donations to support this program are graciously accepted.

Community Story Time is held at the WHS Milwaukee Campus every 3rd Thursday of the month (between September and May) from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Children ages 2-4 and their caregivers are invited to come for an animal-related story followed by an opportunity to meet an animal guest. There is no fee for the program, but it is requested that participants each bring an item from the wish list to help the animals being cared for at the Wisconsin Humane Society. Pre-registration is highly encouraged.
