Wild Night Winter Candlelight Hike: Retzer Nature Center

Make the most of winter in the parks!
Explore the winding trails and quiet woods of the Waukesha County Parks by candlelight on a self-guided hike. Join us for one or more fun nights in February with your friends and family!

The self-guided hikes are .5 – 1 mile in length. Trails are mostly paved and will be cleared of snow as conditions allow. Please note that some areas may have snow packed down. Be sure to dress for weather conditions. If severe weather is forecasted, the website will be updated and registered participants will be notified by email if canceled.

*Free for Ages 2 & Under, Friends of Retzer Nature Center Members, and Friends of the Horwitz-DeRemer Planetarium Members

• Self-guided hike by candlelight (Snowshoes will be available if conditions allow)
• Mama D’s Coffee will be selling warm beverages and sweet treats in the Community Room
• Kid’s activities in the Community Room
• Planetarium Shows- “Stargazers of Africa.”
   – Planetarium tickets are included in the admission price will be handed out for each showtime at check-in on a first-come, first-served basis (showtimes at 6:30, 7:00, 7:30 and 8:00 p.m.).

• Sorry, NO DOGS are allowed at Retzer Nature Center
