Enjoy a night hike guided by the light of the supermoon, when the moon’s closest approach to Earth coincides with the full moon. Learn about what makes a blue moon special and how rare these two events are as we hike the trails in search of a good view. We will take a look at the moon’s surface through a telescope and hike to the beach to watch it rise over Lake Michigan. This program is designed for all ages; children must be accompanied by an adult. This program will take place entirely outdoors. In the case of inclement weather, a portion of the program will take place indoors.
Please note: Dates and times are subject to change, and occasionally events may be cancelled. Please check the event website to confirm the latest details: (It’s Time to Celebrate Summer MKE!)
