Tim Burton’s directorial debut – a grand and hilarious rescue quest. But when he discovers that his precious bicycle has been stolen, Pee-Wee is forced to hit the road to get it back. His cross-country journey will be fraught with danger, hijinks, and a very disappointing trip to the Alamo.
Featuring a star-making turn from Reubens, PEE-WEE’S BIG ADVENTURE is one of the most surreal movies ever released by a major Hollywood studio. Indeed, one wonders how the film ever got a greenlight… but thank God it did, because it’s one of the funniest, strangest, and most iconic films of the ‘80s.
