Built in 1916 by the Milwaukee Road as a bridge station, it was abandoned and converted into the club’s location in 1936 and is the longest running model railroad club in the same location in the US. Many of the original features are still intact, including subway tile, tin ceiling panels, and some steam heat fixtures. The models inside are built to ¼-inch scale, some dating back to pre-WWII.
Open to visitors the last Sunday afternoon of each month, between about 1 pm and 3 pm. If that day falls on a holiday, or within a four day weekend, the club is not open. Not open during weather events in winter.
On Monday nights between 7 pm and 9 pm, if the lights are on and the door is unlocked, visitors are welcome. Someone will be glad to give visitors a tour of the club. Trains are not usually operating on Monday evenings.
Please note that the typical business hours may be altered due to COVID-19. Email or call George before you visit.
