Margie’s Garden Summer Bloom Series – New for 2025 Season!
June Bloom
Monday, June 16th from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm

– Sidewalk chalk will be out for families to use, bubble machines, scavenger hunt maps available (all as supplies last)
– Scratch Ice Cream for sale in Margie’s Garden from 1:30pm-3pm (15% of sales will be donated back to Margie’s Smile)
– Fox and Branch Concert 2:00pm-2:45pm (included in cost of admission)

July Bloom
Monday, July 7th
– Special Discounted Admission for ages 3-12 (kids 0-2 are free)

– Cultivate Yoga MKE hosting a family yoga session with activity from 10:30-11:30am – Included with admission, space may be limited though so arrive early!
Come practice yoga and mindfulness in the garden with Holly from Cultivate Yoga MKE! In this class kids and their grown-ups will use physical poses, mindfulness practices, stories, games, and crafts to practice connecting with their bodies, their breath, with nature, and with each other. All abilities and levels of experience welcome (for kids and grown-ups!). Kids of all ages are welcome, though class will be most geared towards ages 2-7. Please bring your own mats and/or picnic blanket to practice on. If you have any questions about whether this class is a good fit for your child, please email Holly at CultivateYogaMKE@gmail.com.

– FBBG Potting activity (included with admission)
– Boerner Botanical Gardens Horticultural Team will host an educational activity (included with admission)
– Wehr Nature Center & Domes have been invited to also have an educational activity table

August Bloom
Monday, August 11th

– FBBG will be hosting a potting activity for kids (included with admission)

September Bloom

Admission structure for all events:
Ages 0-2: Free
Ages 3-12: $1 (Special Discounted Admission, usually $6)
Ages 13+: $8
100% of admission collected through the Give Butter fundraising event pages will be donated to the nonprofit Margie’s Smile, Inc. to fund the annual maintenance expense of Margie’s Garden.
Please purchase through the Give Butter event pages. If you go to the main desk at Boerner to buy admission that day, you will lose out on our special $1 price for kids ages 3-12 and the revenue will not be donated to the children’s garden.
All tickets are non-refundable. All four of the Monday Bloom Events will be rain or shine. The Bloom Bash on Thursday 7/24 will have an indoor backup location prepared in the ballroom & atrium of the main building if weather is severe.
