Ron Howard directs this live-action take, with Jim Carrey as the gleefully mischievous Grinch, who wages war on the holiday celebrations in nearby Whoville until he meets Cindy Lou (Taylor Momsen), a kindhearted girl who teaches him the true spirit of Christmas.
