Rooted MKE Family Gathering Series is a monthly event hosted by Rooted MKE. This month we are spotlighting local author, Ebony Lewis the author of Dear Black Boy: It’s Okay to Cry. Ebony has recently experienced the loss of her father. She desired to support families who may be grieving the loss of a loved one, sitting with strong emotions, or conflicted with maneuvering how to celebrate the holidays in a capitalistic society. We will also feature a panel of Mental Health Experts, Community Leaders & Parents. The panel will focus on mental wellness as we cope with capitalism, grief, and symptoms of the Holiday Blues. Each family will receive a gift basket of books and helpful family resources from the National Alliance on Mental Illness, Wellpoint, and Kohls. This event is free and the entire family is welcome.

Please note: Dates and times are subject to change, and occasionally events may be cancelled. Please check the event website to confirm the latest details: (Rooded MKE
