WARNING: May cause toe-tapping. With their fabulous tuxedos and superb sliding skills, penguins seem to have it made. But the story of Mumble reveals that penguin life isn’t that easy. Unlike all of the other members of his Emperor community, Mumble can’t sing, and while he’s a heck of a tap dancer, he has no song with which to woo his crush, Gloria. As Mumble seeks to belong, he encounters new friends and new dangers, and he slowly learns to appreciate the power of being different.
With a crowd-pleasing soundtrack, a strong environmental message and a vocal cast that includes Elijah Wood, Robin Williams, Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman, it’s easy to see why this film won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.
