Join us at Bookworm Gardens for a family-style picnic centered around the beloved children’s classic, Good Night Moon by Margaret Wise Brown! Stroll through the grounds as the moon emerges, bring a picnic blanket to spread out in your favorite nook of the Gardens, hear a rendition of the story, and hunt for the red balloon, bowl of mush and more. Plus, our friends from Hoppe Tree Service will be on hand to help children reach for the stars during a kids’ tree climb!
Each admission includes a delicious picnic box filled with delicacies inspired by the story and exclusive after-hours access to the Gardens. Picnic boxes include a generous assortment of charcuterie, cheeses, fresh fruit and vegetables, desserts, breads and more, and are adorned with fresh edible flowers and herbs grown at the Gardens. Please contact us after you make your reservation if you require a vegetarian option. A themed beverage will be available for purchase, along with wine and beer for those 21+.
Pre-registration is required, and tickets will be limited. Pre-registration is now open and will close on Friday, August 5 at noon, or when tickets sell out.
$15 / Members | $18 / Non-members
Children 2 and younger are free UNLESS you’d like them to enjoy their own picnic box. In that case, please add an admission to your purchase.
This event has staggered entry times. Please arrive within the 30 minute window indicated on your reservation. You are welcome to stay until the Gardens close at 8 PM. Picnic reservations are non-refundable and non-transferrable. The Gardens are open rain or shine. In the case of unsafe or severe weather conditions, visit our website for information.
