HAWS is dedicated to strengthening the relationship between people and animals. At HAWS Summer Camps, kids ages 7-14 years are taught to show compassion for all living things through animal interactions and character-driven programming. Campers will be walking dogs, cuddling cats, hiking trails and more! They gain respect for the animals and each other, and their confidence as caregivers and advocates grows.
Sessions are held at two incredible locations, both HAWS main shelter facility in the city of Waukesha and HAWS Schallock Center for Animals in Delafield. Along with basic sessions, theme camps include Art Camp, Camp Gone to the Dogs, Young Scientist Camp, Just Horsin’ Around and Future Leaders Camp. The focus is on learning and fun, in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
